The origins

1996, a market in the making

At the time, the market for specialised event staffing was still in its infancy, while the city was already hosting hundreds of congresses a year. From the outset, Protéine positioned itself on the quality of its selection, administrative rigour and language skills — three requirements that still shape the profession today.

What is the selection process to join our team?

Once we receive your application, you'll be invited to a first in-depth interview with the Protéine Events team.
During this interview, the agency will assess your experience, language skills, sense of service and motivation.

Particular attention will also be paid to your positive energy and your ability to represent Protéine Events' values in the field.

If your application is successful, a second practical interview will be arranged to walk you through the agency's expectations, internal procedures and the operational aspects of assignments.

What skills and qualities do you look for in future team members?

At Protéine Events, we look above all for enthusiastic, reliable and service-oriented personalities.
Excellent people skills, a smile, punctuality and a professional attitude are essential to represent the agency in the field. Fluency in several languages is also very important.

We also place great value on positive energy, flexibility, team spirit and the ability to adapt to varied environments and audiences.

What status do you need to work at Protéine?

Protéine Events works with team members holding various statuses. You can join the team as an employee, flexi-jobber, freelancer, student or jobseeker.

Will I have plenty of work opportunities?

Yes. Protéine Events works at over 900 events a year, offering many assignment opportunities throughout the year.
That said, the start may require a little patience. Many clients work with preferred teams and value seeing the same team members from one event to the next.

For your first assignments, you'll always be paired with more experienced profiles to ease your onboarding and help you get familiar with Protéine Events' quality standards.
Over time, you'll have the chance to prove yourself, gain experience and gradually join these preferred teams, opening the door to more opportunities.

Can I choose the events I want to work on?

Yes. When you join Protéine Events, you'll get access to the Protéine platform, where the various available assignments are posted.
You can browse the events on offer and freely apply to the assignments for which you're available and interested.

This flexibility lets you organise your schedule around your availability.

Can I contact Protéine at any time?

Yes, of course! The Protéine Events team is reachable by WhatsApp, email (team@proteine.be) and phone to answer your questions and support you day to day.

We also always love welcoming our team members to the agency to chat and get to know each other.

How does Protéine look after my wellbeing at work?

At Protéine Events, the wellbeing of team members is a priority. The internal team pays close attention to the needs, feedback and suggestions of its team members.

Very often, team leaders are present at events to provide on-the-ground support, answer your questions and accompany you throughout your assignments. Protéine's coordinators also regularly visit events to offer close, hands-on support.

Protéine listens to your wishes and preferences, and does everything possible to help you thrive and fully enjoy your assignments.
