At the end of the year, Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas are the most requested characters for staff parties and children's parties at companies. The character needs to be convincing, kind and at ease with the youngest guests as well as their parents. For these characters, please tell us in your request whether you have the costume: we will check with you what needs to be arranged.
Demand is high at this time of year, so book as early as possible. As a standard, allow around 5 working days, and longer around Saint Nicholas and the end-of-year holidays.
Wearing a costume is physically demanding, especially under stage lights or outdoors. Regular breaks are essential for the character to keep its energy. For a short appearance, one performer is enough. For a full day, we plan a schedule with breaks, or several performers working in rotation. Your coordinator organises this schedule with you.
The character is rarely on its own. At an activation, it draws the crowd while promotional hostesses hand out your samples and brand ambassadors take over the sales conversation. At a company party, the performer is accompanied by a staff member who manages the flow of photos and looks after their comfort. Protéine puts together the whole set-up with a single coordinator, who keeps the appearance on schedule and saves you from juggling several suppliers.
Every assignment starts with a conversation about the character and the expected audience: the age of the guests, the format of the event, the moments when the character should appear and the message to get across. The briefing takes place 24 to 48 hours before the event, and on the day, a dedicated coordinator stays on site or is reachable at any time to adjust the running order.
